How To Copy a Diskette in Windows® 95/98
Overview
This page shows the steps for copying a diskette in Window® 95/98.
You can also find the instructions in Windows Help.
To summarize, the steps are:
- Insert the disk you want copied into the 3.5" floppy drive
- Open the "My Computer" icon (it may have a different name) and
click on the 3.5" Floppy Drive (A:) icon
- From the File Menu, click on Copy Disk
- Set the source and destination to be the 3.5" Floppy Drive (A:);
click Start
- The system first reads from the source diskette.
- When requested, insert the destination (blank, formatted) diskette;
click OK
- The system then writes out to the destination diskette.
- You'll get a message when the copy operation is finished. Click
the Close button if you have no more diskettes to copy.
Step-by-Step Directions

Insert the disk you want copied into the 3.5" floppy drive

Windows Help Instructions
Click Start > Help to get the Help Topics window. Then start typing
"copying" (without the quotes). Click on "disks" and click the
Display button.
