How To Change Display Resolution
in Windows® 95/98
Overview
This page shows the steps for changing the display resolution
in Window® 95/98. You can also find the instructions in Windows Help.
To summarize, the steps are:
- Click the Start button, then Settings, then Control Panel
- Double-click on the Display icon to open the Display Properties
window
- Click on the Settings tab near the top right
- Click and drag to move the slider (in Screen area box) to the
desired screen resolution. Then, click the Apply button at bottom
right.
- Windows will ask you to confirm that you want to change the screen
resolution. Click OK. If a problem occurs or the screen looks
strange, wait 15 seconds and the original settings will be restored.
- If you want to keep the new settings, click OK when asked. Then
click OK to close the Display Properties window.

Click the Start button, then Settings, then Control Panel

Double-click on the Display icon to open the Display Properties

Windows Help Instructions
Click Start > Help to get the Help Topics window. Then type "display"
(without the quotes). Double-click on "resolution" and click the
Display button. Choose "To change the size of the screen area"
and click the Display button.
